During the one week
visit, and with both operating rooms running from 8:00AM to 5:00
PM, the team operates on close to 50 patients. The operations
include gastrectomy for gastric outlet obstruction,
hysterectomies, thyroidectomies, hernias, hydroceles and breast
resections. Pre-operative screening and post-operative care is
organized and coordinated by the nursing staff of Hopital le Bon
Samaritain and accomplished by the combined efforts of the
visiting team and hospital employees.
